KUMPALA SCHOOL ACTIVITY
1.1 ABSTRACT :-
To achieve the activity point we the Civil Engineering students decided to help the
kumpala school renovation process ,where it is a mandatory from VTU to indulge ourselves
in the social work.
1.2 DESCRIPTION:-
As a part of social activity and also to achieve the activity points we the Department of
Civil engineering students taken a initiative to clean the premises of the Nearby school to help
the students and also to improve the school environment.
It was decided that the activity will be held in the Kumpala School of Mangalore,
We the Students of Civil Engineering have done the Floor cleaning & Painting to improve
the aesthetic appearance. And also have done some drawing related to mathematics to improve
the Knowledge of the students. After renovating the classroom it is handed over to the school
committee.

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN
4.1 ABSTRACT:-
To achieve the activity points in the curriculum I have decided to do the Swachh bharath
Abhiyan in one of the Nursery school in Bantwal Tq. The reason for to do this in the
nursery school is, In the initial phase of the education the children’s will come to know
about the social responsibility and discipline which will help the students in the future.
4.1 DESCRIPTION:-
“when there is both inner and outer
Cleanliness, it approaches godliness”
- Mahatma Gandhi
Swachh bharath abhiyan is one of the most popular and significant missions in the
history of india. Swachh bharath abhiyan is also known as clean in india compaign .it was
launched by the prime minister narendra modi on 2nd
0ctober 2014 in new delhi, because it is
the day mahatma gandhi’s birthday is celebrated .
Father of the nation mahatma Gandhi had a dream of a clean india and always strived
for it . keeping the dream of the father of the nation and the overall development of india in
mind , the government of india started the compaign .
The compaign was sighted for five years and believed in accomplishing the proposed
plans by October 2nd
, 2019 which marks the 150th
birth anniversary of gandhiji.

The major objective of the swachh bharat abhiyan is to spread the awareness of
cleanliness and the importance of it. The concept of awachh bharat abhiyan is to provide basic
sanitation facilities like toilets, solid and liquid waste disposal systems , village cleanliness and
safe and adequate drinking water supply to every person.
To make this compaign even more effective , modiji chase 9 people and requested them
to add 9 more people in this series ahead at them and give them knowledge of cleanliness and
promote cleanliness around them. It was thus intended to connect every Indian to this series.
Through the compaign , the prime minister has emphasized that the work of cleaning
india can not be done by one person or government functionaries alone rather it is a job that is to
be executed by the 125crore people who are the sons and daughters of mother india. Prime
minister modi urged people to realize their duty as responsible citizens towards keeping their
country clean and not litter on the streets .
Gandhiji rightly said , “ be the change you want to see in the world “. Swachh bharat
abhiyan is a great accomplishment and proved out to a one of the kind projects in the history of
india. We must take the pledge to not to litter and throw garbage on roadside . we must carry
forward the practices of cleanliness with the same enthusiasm and zeal and help each other by
keeping our india clean and beautiful.
