INTRODUCTION
 India is an emerging country with huge potential. The domestic
economy is now growing at around 9-10% per annum and India’s
importance in global terms is being reinforced by rapidly rising
exports and domestic consumption. At a time when numbers of a
slowdown and overheating in the Indian economy have started
gaining momentum, the Indian rupees prang a surprise by pushing
the GDP figure past the trillion-dollar(42,00,000 crores) mark. The
Oil industry is at the centre of India’s new global dynamic. The
domestic market expanding rapidly as incomes rise and consumer
credit becomes more widely available. Manufacturer’s product lines
are being continually expanded, as is the local Oil manufacturing
base. Expectation are high that India can develop as a global hub
for Oil manufacturers and as an outsourcing centre that offers the
global Oil industry solution high up the Oil value chain.
SOME OF THE OIL COMPANIES IN INDIA:
 Patanjali Mustard Oil,
 Anupam Gold Mustard Oil
 Fortune Kachi Ghani Pure Mustard Oil
 Nature Fresh Kachi Ghani Mustard Bottle
 Dhara Kachi Ghani Mustard Oil Jar
 Pure & Sure Organic Mustard Oil

Gold Oil. has become a leading mustard oil brand in the State and
has achieved wide acceptability in the market which is evident from the
growth in sales and increase in production capacity
Mustard oil Groups
India is one of the largest producers of oilseeds in the world and this
sector occupies an important position in the agricultural economy. Oilseeds
and edible oils are two of the most sensitive essential commodities. India
grows oilseeds on an area of over 26 million hectares, with productivity of
around1000 kg a hectare. But self –reliance in edible oils is not in sight and
the country imports almost half of its edible oil requirements. India has a
wide range of oilseeds crops grown in its different agro climatic zones.
Groundnut, mustard/rapeseed, sesame, safflower, linseed, inversed/castor
are the major traditionally cultivated oilseeds. Soya bean and sunflower have
also assumed importance in recent years. Coconut is most important amongst
the plantation crops. Among the non-conventional oils, rice bran oil
and cottonseed oil are the most important. The Indian edible oil industry is
composed of some 15,000 oil mills, 600 solvent extraction units, 250
vanaspati units and about 400 refining units. The National council of Applied
Economic Research has projected the demand for edible oils under three
scenarios on the basis of per capita income growing annually by 4%,5% and
6%.Under the low growth scenario, the demand was to rise to 22.8 million
tones ,under medium growth scenario to25.9 million tones and under
high growth scenario to 29.4 million tons in the near future. The edible
oil industry is largely dominated by the bulk segment. Unbranded segment
accounts for anywhere between 80 and 90%of the total consumption. Imports
are taking place in two forms-refined and crude oil. A large part of the crude oil
gets sold as unbranded oil. The share of raw oil, refined oil and vanaspati in
the total edible oil market is estimated at 35%, 55% and 10% respectively.
 Motivation is a psychological feature that arouses an
organism to act towards a desired goal and elicits, controls,
and sustains certain goal-directed behaviours. It can be
considered a driving force; a psychological one that compels
or reinforces an action toward a desired goal. For example,
hunger is a motivation that elicits a desire to eat.
 Motivation is an inner drive to behave or act in a certain
manner. These inner conditions such as wishes, desires,
goals, activate to move in a particular direction in behaviour.
 Internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy
in people to be continually interested and committed to a job,
role or subject, or to make an effort to attain a goal.
 Motivation results from the interaction of both conscious and
unconscious factors such as the
 Intensity of desire or need,
 Incentive or reward value of the goal, and
 Expectations of the individual and of his or her peers.
 These factors are the reasons one has for behaving a certain
way. An example is a student that spends extra time studying
for a test because he or she wants a better grade in the class.
 MASLOW'S HIERARCHY OF NEEDS
 Maslow's theory is one of the most widely
discussed theories of motivation.
 The American motivation psychologist
Abraham H. Maslow developed the
hierarchy of needs consisting of five
hierarchic classes. According to Maslow,
people are motivated by unsatisfied needs.
 Maslow (1943) stated that people are
motivated to achieve certain needs. When
one need is fulfilled a person seeks to fulfil
the next one, and so on. This five stage
model can be divided into basic (or
deficiency) needs (e.g. physiological,
safety, love, and esteem) and growth
needs (self-actualization).
OBJECTIVE OF STUDY
 The main objectives of my research were as
follows:
 To evaluate existing motivational strategies in
ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS
 To study the impact of motivational strategies on the
employees of ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS
 To identify the areas of improvement as regards to
motivational practices and recommend new
strategies to ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS
 Examine the attitude of management towards job
satisfaction and motivation of employees.
 Identify the factors that promote positive
motivational behaviour among employees.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
 Research is a “careful investigation or inquiry specially through search for new facts in
any branch of knowledge.”
 Research Design
 A Research design is the specification of methods and procedures for acquiring the
information needed to structure or to solve the problems. It is the overall operation pattern
or framework of the project that stimulates what information is to be collected, from which
sources and with what procedures.
 “A research design is the arrangement of condition for collection and analysis of data in a
manner that aims to combine the relevance to the research purpose with economy in
consideration.”
 Types of Research Design
 Explanatory Research- This form of research is used when the topic is not well defined
or understood, your hypothesis is not well defined, and your knowledge of a topic is
vague.
 Descriptive Research – If the research objective calls for more detailed data on a
specific topic, then it is called Descriptive Research.
 Causal Research – The most specific type of research is causal research, which usually
comes in the form of a field test or experiment. In this case, a causal relationship
between variables is determined. For example, does the music I play in my restaurant
increase dessert sales (i.e. is there a causal relationship between music and sales.

Research Objectives:
To analyze the satisfaction level of Yamaha’s
Customer
RESEARCH DESIGN
 A clear definition of the problem at hand makes research
design easier. The research design itself serves as a
framework for the study, guiding the collection and analysis of
the data. A good research design minmi7es the haphazard
collection of information because it is like a road map which
guides us to make sure we don’t get off the track but rather
guides us where we want to go In simple words,” Research
design is the framework or plan for a study that guides the
collection and analysis of the data”.
RESEARCH INSTRUMENT
 In research instrument, data was collected through medium
called questionnaire.
SAMPLE DESIGN-
I. Population- Employees of ROYAL AGRO OIL
MILLS
II.Sample Area- Samba city, (J&K).
III.Sample size- 50 , Technique used to access the
respondents is Convenient Sampling.
IV.Time Limit- 4 weeks
RESEARCH INSTRUMENT-
 The research instrument used in the study is close
end structured questionnaire.
 DATA COLLECTION
 Primary Data:
 Primary data refers to data being collected or obtained
from a first-hand experience, It can be received first
hand from things like interviews where a person
collecting the data sits face to face with the respondent.
Here data was collected by means of questionnaire and
one on one interaction with the employees
(respondents) in the ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS
 Secondary Data:
 Secondary data refers to data gathered in the past or
obtained from other party. These may be available in
written, typed or in electronic forms. It can be obtained
from things like company journals, previous research,
government reports, web information, magazines and
newspaper. The Information was collected by studying
the company profile and manuals. Even some
information was collected from the web.
DATA ANALYSIS AND
INTERPRETATION
1. Satisfaction with the present incentives scheme in the
company.
3 ACCORDING TO YOU PRICE ARE REASONABLE
4.ATTRACTIVE DISCOUNTS OFFERED
5 DÉCOR OF THE WAITING AREA IS
PLEASING
10. VALUE FOR MONEY
FINDINGS
 Majority of employees are satisfied with the incentive schemes
provided by the company.
 Company is recognizing and acknowledging employees work.
 Management involves their employees in decision making
process and value their opinions.
 Employees are not much satisfied with the working conditions
provided by the company.
 Present performance appraisal techniques are quite helpful in
motivating the employees.
LIMITATIONS
1. Four week is too short time for research.
2. The busy schedule of the employees did not allow them to
provide detail information.
3. The privacy was maintained which did not let me to access
the data
4. The survey was conducted only for the employees of ROYAL
AGRO OIL MILLS so the results obtained cannot be
generalized for all other oil companies.
5. The study was conducted in Samba city only so its results
cannot be generalized for other cities or sates.
SUGGESTION
 Organization should focus on providing good working conditions to
the employees.
 Company should focus on non-financial incentives too, as all
employees cannot be motivated through financial incentives.

 Company should keep their employees updated with matter
affecting them.

 Company should provide all the necessary tools that are required
to do their job well.
Conclusion
 ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS is a new company started in the year 2017.
However, despite the fact that the Company is in its infancy, ROYAL
AGRO OIL MILLS till date has managed to introduce good number of
schemes to motivate its employees, which is quite remarkable. During
the course of my Internship programme, in ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS, I
got a unique opportunity to learn beyond the walls of traditional
classroom. I was engaged in different activities of the company where I
observed and analysed the level to which the employees are motivated
by the strategies envisaged in ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS.
 Employees are always the vital resource of the organization. And at
times, they are often neglected at their jobs which lead to their failure
to perform. Thus ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS needs to understand what
motivates employees and how they get satisfied from their job that
leads to organizational performance. Rather it is better that employees
should be motivated as it is believed that the driving force which results
from motivation will compel them to put in their best out of willingness.
Acknowledgment and awarding even a simple thank you may be
enough which can build difference in employee’s work performance.

Groundnut, mustard/rapeseed, sesame, safflower, linseed, inversed/castor are the major traditionally cultivated oilseeds. Soya bean and sunflower have also assumed importance in recent years. Coconut is most important amongst the plantation crops. Among the non-conventional oils, rice bran oil and cottonseed oil are the most important. The Indian edible oil industry is composed of some 15,000 oil mills, 600 solvent extraction units, 250 vanaspati units and about 400 refining units. The National council of Applied Economic Research has projected the demand for edible oils under three scenarios on the basis of per capita income growing annually by 4%,5% and 6%.Under the low growth scenario, the demand was to rise to 22.8 million tones ,under medium growth scenario to25.9 million tones and under high growth scenario to 29.4 million tons in the near future. The edible oil industry is largely dominated by the bulk segment. Unbranded segment accounts for anywhere between 80 and 90%of the total consumption. Imports are taking place in two forms-refined and crude oil. A large part of the crude oil gets sold as unbranded oil. The share of raw oil, refined oil and vanaspati in the total edible oil market is estimated at 35%, 55% and 10% respectively.

  • 28. Conclusion  ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS is a new company started in the year 2017. However, despite the fact that the Company is in its infancy, ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS till date has managed to introduce good number of schemes to motivate its employees, which is quite remarkable. During the course of my Internship programme, in ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS, I got a unique opportunity to learn beyond the walls of traditional classroom. I was engaged in different activities of the company where I observed and analysed the level to which the employees are motivated by the strategies envisaged in ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS.  Employees are always the vital resource of the organization. And at times, they are often neglected at their jobs which lead to their failure to perform. Thus ROYAL AGRO OIL MILLS needs to understand what motivates employees and how they get satisfied from their job that leads to organizational performance. Rather it is better that employees should be motivated as it is believed that the driving force which results from motivation will compel them to put in their best out of willingness. Acknowledgment and awarding even a simple thank you may be enough which can build difference in employee’s work performance.
