• Here we see another shot of the
college but in a class room , this
then all set’s the scene and the
narrative of who the main
characters are.
• The decisions about genre to attract the
audience can be seen here were we use a
montage of clips around the college to
suggest that the genre of this film is teen ,
it helps us build up the idea that this film
is set in college and that we will be able to
see all things that happen in college.

• The opening sequence includes
pan’s and tilts which help’s us have
a slow tempo to a our film.
• The clips are put in a montage to
help us see each bit of the school,
we then enter the first location of
which we get to see our characters
together.
• Only later on we see that we reach
a disequilibrium (a change of
events) where one of the
characters takes out a knife and
holds it at the door.
