- Use video and web tools – get the untold stories
- We have already looked at water, but what other ways can we use IT to help create smarter traffic, communication, or schools? Let’s look at traffic
- As a side note - You can have all the skills in the world, and all the greatest plans to make a difference. But one thing you need is confidence to get you there. Think of some small steps you can take to help build that up. More experience, the more confidence.
- You’re not alone in this. There are millions of people around the world making a difference and I feel fortunate enough to have connected through Twitter. Look for them you’l find them.
- Marigo is one of them – she’s in Melbourne, she has a company, she’s looking at gaming for sustainable solutiosn
- Secondlife for education. Wikis, blogs, mobile phones. Who is going to design the content? Who is going to find ways to make it work? Who will coordinate the communities? Who will create the instructional design for new media and games?
- Mentors in NY, had one in London, Spain. We connect via chat. IBM has program with Smith Family. Need people to set these up.
- Non profits looking more and more to technology to get the word out.
- Use technology to forge community, connections with medical experts, future families, donors.
- Are you one of these? You can make an important contribution. Start small. Dream big. Be strategic.

- Things have changed so much in the last year, last 5 years. 20 years (gulp) But imagine in 10 years what that might mean to the things you might be able to contribute to.
