The Zero Conditional If the telephone rings , it makes a noise! Water evaporates if you boil it.
[object Object],Use ZERO Conditional : If the recorder is on, the green light appears . If you have any problem, call our store.
If he is angry, his face turns red! If he drinks too much coffee, he doesn’t sleep . Zero Conditional form: If clause – PRESENT SIMPLE + PRESENT SIMPLE
The First Conditional
If Bart studies harder, he will pass . Use First Conditional : To refer to the future . It is used when there is a possibility that the if-event might happen. It’s a PROBABLE/POSSIBLE condition.
First Conditional form: {If (or unless) + present simple} + will/won’t If he doesn’t hurry up , he ’ll be late for work . You’ ll fail the exam if you don’t do more work. Unless = if not. I won’t go to her birthdat party unless she invites me. You can also use an imperative instead of the will clause. Come and see us if you have time next week.
