You are embarking upon a training course entitled
Energy Manager in Buildings Training
Managing Energy is
one of the most important tasks in business operations.
HOWEVER
It is also the most underrated position,
given the importance of its role.
Aim of the course
 The Copper Alliance developed and established this unique, practical and
intensive training course so that Energy Managers in Buildings can take a
leading role in the operation of the Energy Management System (EnMS).
 Your assignment as energy manager identifies you as the Person
Responsible for Energy (PRE) within your organization. You are undertaking
responsibility for implementing EnMS operations, a role that is both a
demanding and critical.
 This course will provide you with both the knowledge and tools to improve
energy performance in buildings. Case studies in buildings are also shown.
 We know that it is not practical to take you away from your work site to
engage in an intensive training course. Therefore, the Copper Alliance
designed and implemented this comprehensive training course using a
digital e-Learning method, capitalizing on the Institute’s proven teaching
technology.

 The course will train energy managers who, when appointed by top
management, will be able to cope with the responsibility and leadership
needed to run an ISO 50001 level EnMS.
 You have been selected because you are considered to be a business
oriented individual, able to guide your organization in best practice
operations, leading to sustainable energy and business development.
 This course is divided into 12 e-Learning modules, including illustrative
case studies for buildings. The duration of each module is of about 10
minutes. A 5-10 minute multiple-choice quiz is taken at the end of each
module.
 The 12 modules total approximately 4-5 hours. The recommended
duration to complete the course is 1 month.

  • 2. Welcome to the course 2 You are embarking upon a training course entitled Energy Manager in Buildings Training Managing Energy is one of the most important tasks in business operations. HOWEVER It is also the most underrated position, given the importance of its role.

Aim of the course  The Copper Alliance developed and established this unique, practical and intensive training course so that Energy Managers in Buildings can take a leading role in the operation of the Energy Management System (EnMS).  Your assignment as energy manager identifies you as the Person Responsible for Energy (PRE) within your organization. You are undertaking responsibility for implementing EnMS operations, a role that is both a demanding and critical.  This course will provide you with both the knowledge and tools to improve energy performance in buildings. Case studies in buildings are also shown.  We know that it is not practical to take you away from your work site to engage in an intensive training course. Therefore, the Copper Alliance designed and implemented this comprehensive training course using a digital e-Learning method, capitalizing on the Institute’s proven teaching technology. Course Overview (1)  The course will train energy managers who, when appointed by top management, will be able to cope with the responsibility and leadership needed to run an ISO 50001 level EnMS.  You have been selected because you are considered to be a business oriented individual, able to guide your organization in best practice operations, leading to sustainable energy and business development.  This course is divided into 12 e-Learning modules, including illustrative case studies for buildings. The duration of each module is of about 10 minutes. A 5-10 minute multiple-choice quiz is taken at the end of each module.  The 12 modules total approximately 4-5 hours. This course was designed to provide Energy Managers with the necessary information to acquire the core competences of their role and to better understand their responsibilities.
