This is a PowerPoint that I created for a my Multicultural Education class. It gives a description of the culture of Zambia, Africa. I spent two weeks immersed in this culture during the summer of 2014. It was winter time in Zambia during this time.
3. First account of Livingston exploring the area was in
1851.
He was a missionary traveling the Zambezi River.
Copper became a prized commodity which led people
to mining the area in the 1920’s and 1930’s.
Zambia received its independence on October 24, 1964
with a man named Kaunda as its Prime Minister.
