Some acknowledgments for the great feedback posted here.
ADVERTISING PAWN: you’re righ. No one remembers more than ONE point per slide. I’d even add that it is hard to remember more than one element per slide and five elements per presentation, so beware of pictures, illustrations, decorations... and of trying to fix the world in one strike.
UNSUI: I’ll try to make the book worth of its value. I believe most recommendations depend on their context, that’s why I’ve thought of it as a book, for some points may not be applicable depending on the situation.
DONALD: I’ve thought of that too, for I believe images provide context. But since the book is aimed to almost everyone who builds presentations, my option was to avoid images to get to a broader audience.
ATLE: I agree with you. This slideshow should work in autorun mode, like many of my own presentations. If I were presenting it live, it would surely be this way.
Thanks a lot to everyone else who was kind enough to comment here and to e-mail me. Your feedback is helping me to build a better book. Really, this is no CRM bullshit.
    All the best,
    SM.

    Thanks again.
(about slide 32: It’s FEASIBLE, not FEASABLE, sorry :)
Anyway, your comments are a true encouragement. I’m loving the '2.0 grasp' that this ongoing book is taking. From your feedback I’ve got to a first very important conclusion: TEMPLATES ARE A NO GO. It was a dumb idea to begin with, for they will add big typefaces, screaming big sentences to the already cluttered presentation ecosystem. I don’t want to be any part of that, so there will be no templates coming from me, thanks. I’ll probably keep the book price under $10 and I will try to make a paperback version for under $20 (you know, editors aren’t very friendly towards cheap specific books coming out of first-timers, but no one can blame me for trying.
Again, thank you all. I’ll be in Japan for the next two weeks in a business travel, but I’ll come back with the book development as soon as possible. In the next comment I’ll address specific requests posted here.

again...EXCELLENT! and the large format font is great, well chosen. the only additional comment is that i would NOT purchase templates. i prefer to create my own, and this is very inspiring. thanks again for posting!

I dont now why every document must be 'clicable'...? For me its easier to read an analogoue document than a powerpoint. I dont think a powerpoint like this gives me some extra. This is about the form (container) not the content of your presentation. This presentation is made with large letters for live presentation. Does this fit the web-format? Is there a conflict between the fullscale presentation and presentation on web?

This is EXCELLENT! Exactly the type of presentation I was attempting to develop in my past position. Unfortunately, I was limited by the presenter’s preferences for bullet points. I did manage to persuade some of them to include some compelling images (other than charts). Now that I’m on the market...the sky’s the limit. Probably would not purchase a book, but an online version, would definitely consider a 'subscription.' Well done!

Very compelling. In teaching MBA students, I would love to make your book required reading. The world deserves better powerpoints!

Excellant.........however I was expecting something more visual and/or powerful that would create an image for me the viewer

Great work with this presentation. Sometimes we need a reminder why we are doing a ppt to begin with. Would like to download it...do you allow? And, yes, I would buy your softcover easy reading book.

Nice job! Although I remember and used overheads for years, I’d still buy your book in e-book form for $9.99.

    Blessings!

Nice work, to the point points..

You make really good use of large fonts. Kawasaki had some sort of funny 'algorithm' on that; dividing the age of your audience by the pp size of your fonts, or something like it.. Good advice communicated in a fun way.

I am sick to death of seeing presenters with ugly PPT’s squinting at their screen, or worse, squinting (like the audience) at the megatron screen to see what the hell they were supposed to say.

But to answer your question: why would I buy a book about something that, as you clearly explain, explains itself in 20 slides or less? I agree that a presentation (.ppt or .key) is evolving into a medium in itself. And it is a tool. But there is no need for a book on the subject.

I would not buy a 120 pages book, no matter the cost, on 'overhead projections*'. And they are essentially the same thing.

    * for those of you who were not there at the time, 'overhead projectors' were the analog version of powerpoints. Only slower to make, and you had to manually physically shift every slide. And the lightbulb was always broken, always. And the dust, the fingerprints, the out-of-focus...oh my god I love my MacBook Pro and my Keynote.
