    2. Illustrate and communicate original ideas and stories using digital tools and media-rich resources. (1,2)
First, the students will take pictures of their families using a digital camera. These pictures can include pets, siblings, grandparents, parents, cousins, aunts or uncles, whatever the child defines as his or her family.
Then, using those pictures the students will create an imovie. They will talk over their pictures in the movie describing who each family member is and why that family member is special.
      • Students will remember to include a picture of themselves! 
    3. Engage in learning activities with learners from multiple cultures through e-mail and other electronic means. (2,6)
Students will acquire an electronic pen pal.
Students will learn how to compose new e-mails, delete e-mails, and even attach personal pictures to their e-mails.
Students will compose a new e-mail to their pen-pal once every two weeks.
Through having a pen pal from another country, students will also learn about another student’s culture.
Let’s get excited about making a new friend!
    4. Find and evaluate information related to a current or historical person or event using digital resources. (3)
Students will be able to research an individual or historical event using the internet. While on the internet students will learn how to use a search engine like Google.
Students will be able to participate in online exhibits in order to gather needed information.
Once information is collected students will put their acquired information into a word document.
"Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal." Lincoln's Gettysburg Address on November 19, 1863.
    5. Use simulations and graphical organizers to explore and depict patterns of growth such as the life cycles of plants and animals. (1,3,4)
Students will take a virtual tour of the life cycle of plants.
Students will then plant their own plant and record it’s growth in an excel spreadsheet.
Students will be able to analyze the data and convert that into digital graphs.
