    2. LITTER: impact, sources and solutions.
      What is “littering”?
      Where does it come?
      What does effects it cause?
      Could be “litter” considered special problem?
      What can be done to prevent littering?
    3. Defining litter:
      any manufactured or processed solid waste that enters to the environment from any source. It is a highly pervasive and visible form of pollution that has harmful impacts on wildlife and human health.
    4. Where does it come?
      bags
      plastic
      clothes
      cans
      bottles
      cigarettesbutts
    5. EFFECTS: it hurts people, animals and environment.
      Millions of dollars had been spent because this problem.
      Rain flow with litter directly to beaches and rivers.
      Affect the animals and plants habitats.
    6. SOLUTIONS…
      1. Cleanups:
      Cleaning up the trash using paid employees and volunteers.
      2. Laws and Regulations:
      International, national, and statewide laws that prohibit littering and the dumping of trash.
    7. 3. Prevention:
      Proper Disposal: the majority of the litter comes from items we can all easily carry until we find a trash can.
      Waste Reduction: employing the three "Rs“ (Recycle, Reuse, Reduce).
      The last one: EDUCATION!
