  4. 4. What is a faculty mentor? <ul><li>A trustworthy, compassionate faculty member with valuable experience and insight. </li></ul><ul><li>He/she listens well, and uses wisdom and knowledge to help a protégé develop and grow. </li></ul>
  5. 5. An effective faculty mentor has… <ul><li>Technical competence </li></ul><ul><li>Organizational knowledge & experience </li></ul><ul><li>Interpersonal communication skills </li></ul><ul><li>Commitment & belief in the process </li></ul>
