A weblecture (but of course you already knew this)
persoonlijk verhaal, pilot en project heel kort toelichten
3 fasen introduceren, kort, kort, langer, iedere fase eindigt met nieuwe, verbeterde businesscase
Experiment started at the medialab and got support from two or three educational programmes, and one Director. Strong focus on exploration of technology and opportunities. Is it a Hype? No problem, things can change over 6 months
Pilot phase was a ‘more official’ 2nd version of the experiment, but with added support from central AV, ICT and Library staff. Exploring teachers got an official platform (Key Users) for knowledge sharing. The Key Users are embracing this new technology and want to make it work for their classes. Is it a Hype? If you can find keyusers, probably not!
Projectphase:prince2, asl, bisl , dependencies, Service Level Agreement, dedicated staff.
Evaluation: Businesscase is easy, educational effects are more difficult to measure.Collis 4e model, developed in 1999, used to evaluate new technology before implementing.
Does it run on my pc? Platform independent? Have I got the time or money? other resources? or Anyone else? Is this technology a hype, and are there indications that it will be a hit?
3; Remember the failed Secondlife experiments? Hype or Hit?
makes sense doesn’t it?
Effective tool? We all know this is HARD to measure, but we do feel there definetely is a positive effect.
I’d love to do a real double-blind test, but this is difficult in the real world.
Heroes: Invented the Knowledge Clips, and then enriched them with webpages and movieclips. Integrated with Intranet, Blogs and Sharepoint.Meet every 6 weeks to share knowledge and coach newbies.
