Something to remember:
The present progressive (PP) tense is used to
express action in actual progress at the
moment of speaking or writing. The action
may continue for a short time or for a long
period. Such adverbs as now, at present, this
time, these days, at this moment and today
may be used with the PP form.

In terms of the simple present and
present progressive tenses of any
sentence, the verb forms used are the
base, infinitive, -s, and present
progressive. Their usage differs in the
time context, most often, especially the
PP form (used for habitual actions).
