    • Back Round
      • Andy Warhol- Male
      • Born on August 6, 1928 in Pittsburg Pennsylvania
      • Died on February 22, 1987
    • He was one of the first artists to apply artistic skills as commercial illustrator. He transformed commercial illustration in to popular “Pop” art. He understood the importance of the “icon”, and how it draws attention, to his art in particular.
    • Popular Art by Andy Warhol
      • The Marilyns’ Coca-Cola Bottles, Campbell's
    • Stylistic Connections
      • Andy Warhol studied what influenced pop culture and worked these influences into his art.
      • An example would be popular celebrities or desirable products.
      • I used Ray Ban sun glasses with bright color changes in the same style as the Marilyn’s
    • Reflection and Analysis
      • Andy Warhol used multiple images in his work. I switched the separate images of the Marilyn’s (person) with separate images of an object.
      • Normally products appeared numerous times in the same image like the Coca-Cola or Campbell soup and people were in multiple but separate images.
    • Conclusion
      • Many artists work is not recognized in the art business.
      • Andy Warhol’s first success was working for magazines and companies.
      • He was able to work as a commercial artist while he showed everyone how important ‘pop’ art was.
