3. INTRODUCTION
• The Ebro river is the largest river in Spain and the
second in the Iberian peninsula after the Tagus.
• The Ebro crosses seven Spanish regions: Cantabria,
Castilla y León, La Rioja, País Vasco, Navarra, Aragón
and Cataluña.

11. COURSE
• The Ebro rises in Fontibre, at 880 metres.
• And it ends in the Mediterranean Sea, with a delta.

12. EBRO BASIN
• In the Ebro basin around 2.767.100 people live.
• The nucleus is Zaragoza, with 674.300 inhabitants.

13. WATER USES
• It has an industrial use, because of the hydroelectric
plants.
• It also has an agricultural use.

14. FLORA
• The Ebro delta is the largest wetland in Spain.
• There are many types of plants, but the most common
are the poplars and reeds.

15. FAUNA
• The most common animals are the water snakes, the
trouts, the ducks and the weasels.
