1 Tabs: Representation of general user tasks. The Ribbon has seven tabs by
default
2 Group: A set of linked commands on the tab
3 Command: A button, menu or field to input data

Most used commands are placed on the Home tab
Groups are contains commands to complete some kind of
tasks. No more menus! You ALWAYS can see all the
commands!
Application always propose to you some commands that
you need at the moment

Some groups has a
small button in the right
bottom corner
(Dialog Box Launcher)
This button provide you
with access to
additional commands
and options
Press and you will see a dialog or settings window.
For example:
1 On the Home tab press in the Font group
2 Format Cells dialog opened. Now you can adjust font of the selection.

The Ribbon™
displays all the
command if you have
high-resolution
display
In other cases you’ll
get different look of
the Ribbon™
If you have low resolution display (f. e. 800х600), some groups on
the Ribbon™ displayed as an icon with a title
If you window is not maximized you’ll get the same situation
Short versions of tabs and groups displayed on the Tablet PC or
other mobile devices
Wide screen (16:10) displays are the best!
