1. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stage…?

2. During our A2 project we used youtube mainly for research. We were able to search for short films and other pictures. Im here, across the hall etc were all films that I came across on youtube. The videos I found I could use and relate to my short film research.

3. We used blogger through the filming process and before. When do work in class before starting our coursework, we would uploads thing we had done to help us revise. We used at different stages for when we were research and planning for out film and for our evaluation. During lesson time we would research short films, directors and other media presentations, then we would right about them and upload them onto our blogs so we could use them to refer back to or use them to revise from. During the research and planning stage of coursework we had to research different genres, convention for our project and our results were uploaded in our blogs. Also with the research and planning we had to write all about the location, props, cast, etc.. As well as any safety tests that were carried out all of which was uploaded onto our blogs and with this we could use to refer back to at any stage. Once the evaluation is completed that will be uploaded onto the blogs and that’s were it will be looked at by the examiners.

5. For our media work prezie’s can be used for all aspects of the work. If we had any information and there was date or results it could all be collected and put in a prezi. An example of this is that when doing audience research I put all of my results and information into a prezi and then uploaded it onto my blog, and from my blog it was able to get marked. Also when making the film I made a diary for each day that we were filming and with this I put the date and information into a prezi and then uploaded it onto my blog. When conducting the evaluation for the first question instead of just writing an essay I decided to make a prezi. With making a prezi it makes it more interesting to read and easier to understand.

6. We were able to insert arrows if necessary to direct read from each piece of text. We were able to use this tool to add colour and shading to our writing. On the path tool we were able to pick the order in which we wanted our presentation to go. When clicking on frame you are able to add frames and affect to your writing.

7. Photoshop We used photoshop mainly for our ancileraly tasks, for our ancilery tasks we had to make a poster promoting our film and we also had to make a double page spread article. With we could make it however we liked, using photoshop enabled us to edit pictures and writing, add affects to writing and make things with 3D affects. This helped us with our work because we took photos of our films and edit them to make them look attractive on our posters.

9. Final Cut Pro Final cut pro was the document we used to edit our short film. On this we were able to upload the clips we shot of our film and put them in a film document, once the files were uploaded we were able to edit and drop them. We could pick a clip and play it through, we were able to mark it were we wanted that part of the clip to begin and end. Once we had selected the parts of the clip we wanted we could drag them into the ‘time line’ at the bottom of the screen. And all the film was then finalised in that time line. As well as being able to drag and place the clips together, we were also able to use some of its other features.

11. Quick Time Quick time was a file that we used before uploading our films and products. Once we made our film we uploaded it onto quick time and from quick time we were able to upload into on youtubeand blogger
