Name:
Emily Giffin
Born in: Baltimore, Maryland (1972)
She is: An american author of several novels
categorized as chick lit (comedy novel especially
for womans)
After law school she moved to Manhattan and after living there for a few years she decided to
move to London and began writing full-time.
Her first novel was rejected by eight publishers, so she began a new novel (Rolling the Dice) which
became Something Borrowed, a bestseller book.
She married in 2002 and a year after she gave birth to identical twin boys, Edward and George.
Harriet, her daughter, was born on 2007.

1. She is obsesed with typewriters and fonts.
2.She loves winter, and January is her best month of the year
3.She may have changed her identical twins identity, but she´ll
never know the truth
4.Emily takes an insame number of photographs every day, she
says there is not a day her camera does not see action.
5. She is very noise sensitive and can´t stand the sound of radio
or television.
6.Once a month she dreams she is Jennifer Aniston´s best friend.
7.Her favourite colours are orange and pink.
8.Her first kiss was with a French exchange named Sebastian.
9.She was supposed to meet a friend at the fountain between the World Trade Center
towers on 9/11 at 9 a.m. But that day she moved to London in the first international
flight.

7. The Book
The novel centers arround a woman, Rachel White,
who turns 30 and is still single. She and her best friend
Darcy have known each other since childhood. After a
night of drinking on Rachel´s thritieth birthday, something
goes on between her and Darcy´s boyfriend. After this
turns into an affair and Rachel explores what friendship
is suposed to be and also true love.

9. Recomendation
I recomend this novel especially to the girls as its a chick lit book, because
it´s about the values of friendship and especially as its a comedy it has
very funny parts. I think girls who like love story´s would like to read this
book because of that.
Also, I love the way the author describes every moment as if it was
important and then you realice it wasn´t that much.

10. The Film Director
Director:
Luke Greenfield
Greenfield wanted to be a film director since the age of ten after he was
given a super 8 camera. He made film throughout the years and attended
to the School of Cinematic Arts.
When he was 13 his mother wrote a letter to Steven Spielberg, with it she
attached Luke´s films and asked Spielberg “Does my son have what it
takes to make it?” Steven wrote back and encouraged Luke to go to film
school.
