2. Synopsis: Four British university students going through their normal day-to-day
life. It will highlight their social and personal lives which will help the audience
to relate to the situations they get into such as family, friends and
relationships etc. The programme will outline their personality and the
chemistry between each other. The main locations included will be in a
student apartment, around the university and in a club/bar.
There will be 3 girls and 1 boy.
Jacob: He is a self absorbed know it all that flirts with every girl in sight. There is a
lot of conflict between him and Lola as he thinks he’s better than her. Jacob
enjoys partying and showing off his body although there isn’t a lot to show.
Lola: She is shy and an unconfident person who has conflict with Jacob as they
are complete opposites.
Emily: She is an intellectual person that is willing to take on any challenge that
she is faced with. Her ambition is to do really well in life and everyone is
jealous of her.
Diana: She is the sarcastic and lazy one of the group who often looks blankly at
people when they ask her to do something.
3. Format: We will use a DSLR camera to shoot our programme and iMovie or
some other editing software to put it all together.
Estimated Duration: The duration of the show will be roughly 30 minutes. It will
be shown on Tuesdays at 8pm.
Intended Audience: The intended audience is males and females between the
ages of 15-35 which is the target audience for E4.
Style: It’s the British version of “New Girl” and “How I Met Your Mother”. As it will
include humour such as sarcasm as well as drama.
Rationale: This production will enable the target audience to have a laugh and
get to know the characters as well as being able to relate to relate to them
and the storyline.
Feasibility: We will be able to make this work because we have the locations,
resources and people to play the characters.
