One of the most beautiful places in Poland. The network of
lakes joined each other with numerous channels. It is a
paradise for sailors and boaters. The biggest lakes are Mamry
( 104 km²) and Ś niadrwy ( 113,8 km²).

Tatra Mountains are a mountain range lying in Central Europe
called the Carpathians. It is the highest mountain range, with
the highest peak Rysy (2499m above sea level)

Bieszczady are located on the south-eastern Poland.The
Bieszczady mountains are well-preserved heaven for animals.
Among others one may come across bisons, deer, bears,
wolves, lynxes, wildcats, and since 2007 the polish horses.
Bialowieza National Park
Bialowieza National Park - the polish national park located in the
north-eastern part of Poland, in Podlaskie district. Bialowieza
forest is a natural habitat for over 12 000 species of animals.

of international trade.
Traveling merchants met
there to discuss business
and to barter. During its
golden age in the 15th
century, the hall was the
source of a variety of
exotic imports from the
east – spices, silk, leather
and wax – while Kraków
itself exported textiles,
lead and salt from the
Wieliczka Salt Mine .

Krakow hill on the platform in the Old Town, on the left bank
of the Vistula river. On the hill there are two ancient groups of
buildings:

famous dragon in Polish folklore.
In some stories the dragon lived
before the founding of the city,
when the area was inhabited by
farmers.

is now a popular tourist stop.
St. Mary's Church

famous sights of Krakow and
Poliand. It is a Gothic church,
built in the 14th and 15th
centuries. It is located at the
northeast corner of the main
square opposite the Kraków Cloth

 The city lies on the southern edge of Gdansk Bay in a
conurbation w ith the city of Gdynia,Sopot and suburban
communities, which together form a metropolitan area called
the Tricity.
 The city was close to the former late medieval boundary
between West Slavic and Germanic seized lands.
 Gdansk is considered the symbolic place of the outbreak of
World War II and the beginning of the fall of communism in
Central Europe. In the city there are numerous historical
buildings and cultural institutions.

  • 6. MAZURY – lake district One of the most beautiful places in Poland. The network of lakes joined each other with numerous channels. It is a paradise for sailors and boaters. The biggest lakes are Mamry ( 104 km²) and Ś niadrwy ( 113,8 km²).

  • 24. Kraków Cloth Hall It was once a major centre of international trade. Traveling merchants met there to discuss business and to barter. During its golden age in the 15th century, the hall was the source of a variety of exotic imports from the east – spices, silk, leather and wax – while Kraków itself exported textiles, lead and salt from the Wieliczka Salt Mine .

On the hill there are two ancient groups of buildings:  Wawel Royal Castle  Cathedral Basilica of St.. Gdansk  The Polish city on the Ba ltic coast with a population near 456 000  The city lies on the southern edge of Gdansk Bay in a conurbation w ith the city of Gdynia,Sopot and suburban communities, which together form a metropolitan area called the Tricity.  The city was close to the former late medieval boundary between West Slavic and Germanic seized lands.  Gdansk is considered the symbolic place of the outbreak of World War II and the beginning of the fall of communism in Central Europe. In the city there are numerous historical buildings and cultural institutions.

Poznan Populaion: 552 000 Established 8th century Town rights 1253 Poznan is regarded as the cradle of the birth of the Polish state. In the past, it served as the capital and seat of the rulers. An interesting fact is that Poznan is the only Polish city which name is mentioned in the Polish anthem.  •
