Wilanów Palace is a royal palace located in Warsaw, Poland. It survived World War II and partitions of Poland, preserving its historic character. The palace grounds host cultural events and concerts and are an important monument of Polish culture. Originally built for King John III Sobieski in the late 17th century, the palace has since had several owners and was damaged but not demolished during World War II. It was renovated after the war and reopened to the public in 1962.
