Authentic learning – contextual learning, simulating real-world environments Mental models – visceral and virtual models, allow students to reflect upon current models and adjust (with gaining new info) models as new info is gathered Multiple intelligences – personalize learning, differentiate learning Social learning – f2f and virtual/online collaboration & creates a community of learners - research shows collaboration increases learning motivation, develops social & cross-cultural skills
