Project plan/ project schedule/ chart*/ risk assessment – start Oct 19th end Oct 26th

Research of market (2a)
Monday November 5th – Monday November 12th

We will be researching our target audience in order to understand the market. We will be looking
into different aspects of our audience such as gender, age, socio-economic grouping, lifestyle and
location. We will also research competitors for the same market, using audience data gathering sites
such as RAJAR, BARB and ELSPA.
we decided to take a week to complete the research as there a wide variety of areas to research and
it would take a while to complete it.

Research – questionnaire (2b)
Monday November 12th- Tuesday November 13th

We will have to create and distribute a questionnaire to try and further understand what we should
include in the video in consideration to our target audience.

Planning (2c)
Friday the 16th of November – Wednesday the 19th of December

Brainstorm – Friday November 16th

We will create a brainstorm that will include ideas for the video so we can try to visualise the video
we will be creating. We will create a brainstorm individually and as a team.

Storyboards –Monday November 19th – Monday November 26th

We will create a storyboard that will establish key shots and allow us to create a structured plan of
how the video will be arranged in terms of editing. Each of these shots will be given a short
explanation of how we plan to film that part.

Script - Tuesday November 27th – Monday December 3rd

The script will be created for the production and will only be used by the production team. It will
include questions to ask participants and directions for everyone involved.

Sketches – Tuesday December 4th – Friday December 7th

We will create sketches of where we believe everything should be positioned within a shot. This will
help us organise our time efficiently as we won’t need to think too much about these aspects during
filming.

Shot logs – Monday December 10th

Mood boards (Individually and as a team) – Tuesday December 11th – Monday December 17th

We will be creating mood boards both individually and as a team in order to help us organise our
ideas and structure plans. It will help us when discussing what to include in the video.
Technical consideration - Tuesday December 18th

We will be taking into account the technical considerations concerning Platform, file format, file size,
compression, streaming method and media player. These aspects are important when creating a
video or any other digitally creative project and will prove helpful when editing the film.

Proposal (3a)
Tuesday January 8th – Monday January 14th

Once we’ve finished planning the videos content we will compile it into a proposal. The proposal will
include things such as Content outline, target audience, resources, and personnel requirements, eg
cast and crew, team, specialists, budget, project schedule. The proposal will be given to our client
and depending on their opinion we will then move on to pitching the video idea.

Pitch/ presentation (3b)
within the week of the 14th – 18th January

Once we have finished the proposal and our client has given his feedback we will then compile a
pitch for the client which will include every aspect of the production. We will present this pitch
through PowerPoint.

Production meeting/ agenda and minutes (task 4)
Monday January 21st

Before our production meeting to discuss the pitch we will be creating an agenda that will list the
topics to be discussed within the meeting.

Report on meeting (task 4)
Tuesday the 22nd January – Friday 25th January

After the meeting we will write about what we discussed and decided in the meeting concerning the
topics we addressed in the agenda. This will result in the minutes.

Gather assets that are available e.g. video, images (task 5)
Monday January 28th – Monday February 4th

After finishing the meeting and compiling a report we will begin to gather assets to include in the
video such as images, animations, video clips and sound effects. We will collect these assets by using
sources such as video library, online, broadcast, client, peers and tutors.

Film video (task 6)
From February the 5th until late February

Using our shot logs we will begin filming the raw footage for the video. We will try to pay close
attention to the different aspects of filming such as Shot quality (lighting, focus, depth of field,
colour balance, exposure) and shot composition (camera angle, framing).
