The document summarizes an advertisement idea for Cadbury Dream chocolate bar. The 30-second YouTube ad would target mothers aged 25-34 who make purchasing decisions for their household. It shows a tired single woman arriving home, eating the chocolate, and entering a colorful "dream state" inspired by the product name. When she emerges, she is no longer single and happily surrounded by her new family. The ad concludes with the Cadbury Dream logo and slogan "It's more than just a dream." The goal is to portray the chocolate as so delicious it can transform one's life.

Unit 2 Task 2 Speaker Notes
Hello, my name is PooyanAmiri and this is my idea for an advertisement for Cadbury.
-
I’ve chosen the chocolate bar Cadbury Dream, and this is a picture of the chocolate bar.
-
First off I’d like to start off with giving you some basic information about my advert,
• YouTube based 30 second advertisement.
• Appeal to gatekeepers (Mother of a household between the age of 25 and 34).
• Research shows that gatekeepers buy two-thirds of all sweets.
• Gatekeepers make purchasing decisions of sweets for the rest of the family
-
Now let’s move onto the beginning scene of my advertisement,
1. A tired single woman arriving home from work.
2. Sitting down and eating a Cadbury dream chocolate bar.
3. Sits down and takes a bite of the chocolate bar.
4. As soon as she takes a bite she goes into a “dream” state.
-
Now about the dream state that was talked about earlier,
• Dream state with liquid milky chocolate cream twirling and twisting everywhere.
• Colourful with colours like bright white and bright brown.
• Using the theme of the name of the chocolate bar, which is ‘dream’ to relate to this
scene to make it memorable
• Tries to create the notion that by taking a bite of Cadbury Dream you are
transformed to a “dream” due to the chocolate bar being so tasty and delicious.

After the dream state, the advertisement moves on to the end part where I’ve tried to
project the story fairly and conclude the advert,
• After the “dream” state, the single woman is now not single and living in a house
with her family by her side.
• She has two kids and a husband present in this scene, she instantly becomes happy
once she sees her family.
• The advert ends with the Cadbury Dream logo and the slogan “It’s more than just a
dream”.
-
• All in all, I think that my advertisement idea for Cadbury dream is one with
potential and I think it could work if executed properly.
Thank you for listening.
