- In 2007 IFAD along with other organizations such as FAO, GTZ, CTA organized the first Web2fordev conferenceIn 2008 EC developed a white paper highlighting why IFAD should adopt Web2.0 paradigm and provided a list of Web2.0 tools that IFAD could useAs a result as of 2009, IFAD has a social reporting blog, the President has a blog, IFAD has a twitter account, IFAD has a Picasa account, IFAD is now putting powerpoint presentations delivered at workshops and meetings on slideshare, IFAD has a YouTube and Blip.TV channel, IFAD is experimenting with Wikis, GoogleDocs, colleagues are using Skype, colleagues who were introduced to doodle are using doodle – for sure all of you here once you leave this session will also start using doodle.This is a bit of a backgroundThe purpose of this session is to talk briefly about what are the principles behind Web2.0 and give you a flair of the what Web2.0 tools can do for you.In this session we will not cover in depth all the tools that Amedeo and I will be showing you.
