Learning management systems (LMS) and learning content management systems (LCMS) enable planning, tracking, and delivering e-learning content and courses. LMS can host entire online courses, track participation, and register users, while LCMS focus on creating and managing reusable learning content with minimal costs. The document provides examples of three systems - Blackboard, Commsy, and Moodle - and asks the reader to test basic functions on the systems like uploading materials, announcing meetings, and sending messages within a 15 minute time limit.
