1. Nifty ends above 5930 ahead of headline inflation data tomorrow; Jan trade
deficit data second highest ever

Indian Equity Benchmarks opened marginally up on the back of supportive global cues. It continued the rally with IT
sector leading the charts on the sectorial front till late afternoon before markets started losing some sheen. Finally, the
benchmarks closed in green zone with Sensex above 19600 ahead of release of WPI numbers tomorrow.
On the trade front, India’s export spurted 0.82% at $25.58 billion in January on yoy basis snapping 8 months stint of
decline. Imports rose 6.12% to $45.58 billion leaving a trade deficit of about $20 billion. The rising trade deficit will put
further pressure on India's current account deficit and thereby reducing the margin for further rate cuts. (News)

The volatility as denoted by INDIA VIX lost 1.11% at 15.14 from its previous close of 15.31 on Tuesday.

were the top gainers.
Power (down 1.56%), Metals (down 1.25%) and Real Estate (down 1.15%) were the top losers.
