Over the past couple years, the community's faith community has seen some steady positive developments. With some new approaches we have taken within the Unification Movement, we have also been a helpful and positive influence on other communities who we are in communication with. Our Sunday programs have continued to develop with many people from over seas joining us live and a good body of people watching our recorded services in the archive. Our memberships went up from 150 to 250. Staff and volunteers meet every Sunday at 10am to pray and prepare for the worship service. Last year one of our elders, Yajiro Kobayashi, passed on, and we were able to hold a beautiful Shungra ceremony for him together with his family.

8. Youth Pastor’s Report
When I think of my mission last year as youth pastor in LG, first of all I have a guilty
feeling that I did not do more regardless various reasons. But also I learned that things
take time more than I think and also realised my limitation, which gave me big relief.
Lastly, I take this time to say thank you to God, TP, and everyone who I have known
in LG because through you I got a lot of love, realisation and basically grown up more.
There are some things I focused such as
Regular football in Hyde Park - I believe this football gave some youth an opportunity
to connect easier to the church and also among youth.
Regular Sunday school - Even though there are still many things to develop but I tried
my best to set a rota for Sunday school teachers from different ages and background
so that our children can learn from them.
LG residents - Since last year we have tried to build LG resident community where
people support each other and also the church. Ex) 6am HDH, 10pm closing, birthday
party, potluck dinner, supporting church various activities.
LG CARP - Hainse brothers came up with LG CARP idea and Last year we elected
LG CARP Committee so we can reach our youth more effectively.
Music ministry - Playing drums every Saturday and Sunday was not easy thing but I
do hope people found easier to sing alone and open their heart during the service.
Inviting youth to my studio flat - Abigail and I often welcomed many youth to our
studio flat to deepen the relationship.
Hospitality and setting up for Sunday service - Abigail took responsibility for
Hospitality and general setting up for Sunday Service. She made a rota for hospitality
and set up chairs and cleaning for service with LG tenants.
Various events - LG HARP Service, table tennis, karaoke, potluck dinner and so on.
