  1. -- Do you value a learning community among your students? Research and author-experience show that a learning community with student engagement. But this might be a different way of working with your students. Please do consider this approach and test it with your students to see if it will work in your classrooms too. -- Just review these questions at the start of this presentation. The presentation will address ways that I have used Internet and courseware to address these areas in my work.
  2. These are the general topic areas that we will be addressing. The color coding will be used in the presentation slides
  3. As you well know, Internet can be a great repository for procedures and information that you will be using frequently. It can save you a lot of time, if you preserve this information in a web site that can be used over and over again. But when designing these websites, you want to keep some considerations in mind, as shown in the slide above. On the next few slides, you will see how I have addressed these considerations in some of the work that I have done.
  4. In the next few slides, we will look at some of the features of this course. Please visit the course online and draw your own conclusions.
  5. In general online courses provide a useful way for working with students where you want interactions among the students.
