    Plot Plot Presentation Transcript

    • PLOT
    • Exposition
      • The part of the plot that introduces the characters, the setting, and the basic situation.
    • Conflict
      • A struggle between opposing forces. Sometimes the struggle is internal , or within a character. At other times the struggle is external , or between the character and some outside force.
    • Rising Action
      • The part of the plot that includes events that builds up suspense that leads up to the climax.
    • Climax
      • The high point of interest or suspense in a literary work.
    • Falling Action
      • All of the action that takes place after the climax in a literary work that leads to the resolution.
    • Resolution
      • The conflict has been resolved, either positively or negatively.
    • Denouement
      • Anything that happens after the resolution of the plot.
