- 2. Nowadays, playing tennis is more popular. As personal products are getting better, the progress of designing the tools of maintaining tennis courts is relatively slow. Considering the weather in Taiwan, raining is the biggest problem for people who like to exercise. And I also think of there are approximately 300 million balls been produced each year, which contributes roughly 14,700 metric tons of waste in the form of rubber that is not easily biodegradable. Therefore, I designed "ecoslice", a tennis ball recycling squeegee. 現在的網球運動越來越普及，已經不再是貴族運動，因此各 廠商對個人產品的設計也越來越完善。相對地，維護球場的工 具設計一直沒有多大的進展。然而一個妥善維護的球場終究是 網球運動的先決條件。 在台灣網球運動最容易遇到的問題就是下雨。此外，打網 球所產生的消耗品非常多，諸如：網球、網球罐、握把布、 球拍線…等。尤其是網球，每年大約製造三億顆網球，估計有 14,700噸無法自然分解的橡膠。因此我設計了使用報廢網球所 製成的推水器”ecoslice“

(Each part is still conneted with others) • Take out the ball and cut off the connections. • Put the parts in the fixture. • Lock the fixture. Remove Squeegee Features: • One tennis ball can be divided into two squeegee parts. • While using the Ecoslice, the ball parts spread and there will be no gaps between the parts. • The U-shaped Ecoslice can collect water, preventing the water from flowing to areas you just sqeegeed. • The knife on the handle is protected by an acrylic cup, so that people will hardly be hurt. • Bended pole is more easy for people d Sprea to use. • The length of the pole is adjustable.
