B.I.D. Canada Ltd. started as “Basic Industrial Design Limited”:
A one-man engineering company in 1981.
Provided Engineering and Layout drawings for industrial clients
on various types of projects.
Conveyors were part of the business that became very active.
The company expanded to 5 design employees. At that point it
started sub-contracting the fabrication of conveyors.
In 1989, the manufacturing facility was built to take on an
increasing workload.
3.
In 1989, the manufacturing facility was built in Woodstock,
New Brunswick, Canada, at the intersection of
TransCanada Highway 2 and US Interstate 95.

4.
Most work was within the pulp and paper industry
during the first half of the 1990’s.
The company grew to about 50 employees

pulp and paper, such as coal handling, limestone
and FGD gypsum.
