2. A common convention of silent movies are the title slides are incorporated. With the absence of dialogue/sound this was the only way to convey speech, thoughts and various other captions to the audience. So to make our silent movie more authentic we decided to incorporate them into our sequence to add a touch of vintage to our final product. So we did some research on the internet and came up with this template design which will be used for each slide that we decide to include.
3. C O L O N N A M T We opened up the template in Adobe Photoshop CS3, and chose a suitable font that first of all had a vintage style to it, as well as a hint of a modern touch to it as well. We decided upon the font “Colonna MT” which looks very effective and matches the surrounding title design. We also made sure that the slides fitted in with the PAL Screen guidelines, which means whatever size screen this silent movie is played on, the title slides will fit into the resolution and no edges will be lost or cut off.
