2. Our learners say our
e-learning is boring.
There’s too much
reading.
What do you think we
should do?
3. I think we should add audio
narration reading every word
on the slides. That will keep
them engaged and help the
auditory learners.
4. Well, the courses might have too
much reading and be boring, but
I don’t think just adding audio
narration will help.
5. Really? Doesn’t e-learning mostly
work for visual learners? I read that
on a blog last week. Let’s reach
people with all learning styles.
6. The research doesn’t really
support matching content to
learning styles.
It’s a common myth, but we can
spend our time doing something
more effective.
7. Like what? More practice with
feedback, for one thing.
We could also look at
spacing learning out
over time.
8. 2 Months Later… Yes! I finally finished the
practice scenario! This is
the best e-learning ever!
9. Although learners may have preferences and matching
content to learning styles might make intuitive sense, you can
help your learners more with other strategies like spaced
learning and opportunities for practice with feedback.
