2. The idea
• In my film im going to show a lot of The Simpsons
entrances at the start of the program where they all run to
the sofa. It is going to be artistic because it is going to show
the repetitiveness of the family running to the couch (the
introduction), mainly homer and how he is always sat on
the couch watching TV and doesn’t really do anything else
with his life apart from go to work and get home and watch
TV. In the video there is actually a guy watching this and it
is showing his life and what he does, the narrative in the
video is that we are going to see this guy watching The
Simpsons each day of his life and he is going to be slowly
turning into Homer and does everything more or less he
does, the character is going to get fatter, looking more lazy,
losing his hair and starts wearing the same cloths as him.
3. How its going to be made
• Im going to collect and find a lot of the sofa
gags and put them together to make a film. I
am also going to be adding in a guy watching
this in the video. The video will show cut from
each scene as such, at times it will just be
showing the TV screen and the Simpsons will
be on and then it will cut to the Guy in his
living room watching the Simpsons.
4. Inspiration
• I have got my inspiration from a video that Gary showed as an
example of an experimental video. the video was a guy from a TV
series where it showed him coming through a door, it was just
showing all the time he had done, also the video was blurred and
you could see pixels, I think it was there to make it look corrupt and
that’s all his character can do. My video is going to be similar to this
video because im going to be showing The Simpsons, am going to
be showing a lot of the intros to the show where they are running
to the couch, but we are going to see a person watching this as well
as watching the Simpsons. The story is basically the guy watching
this is going to end up like homer, because all he wants to do is
watch TV when ever he can and this is what we see Homer doing a
lot of the time as well as the family.
5. Budget
– It is a low budget film, the only things I will have
to buy is beer and food for the scene in the guys
room where he is watching TV. They are going to
be scattered across the room.
