1. A strong unified 1. People have rights
                                  British Empire is government can’t
good for all take away, like
                                                           property

          2. Colonists are British subjects 2. Taxation takes away property
and should obey British law (i.e. money & goods)

                                                      3. Colonists don’t have voice in
 3. Taxes are due to French & Indian Parliament, so they can’t tax
War which was fought to protect colonies (No taxation without
          colonies representation)
4. American colonies would be weak
without Britain 4. There’s no way colonies could
                                                           ever be represented –
                                                           Parliament’s too far
     5. Colonies profit from trade with 5. Many colonists fought in
England the French & Indian War
                                                           (we’ve done our part)
               6. Colonies are too far away
from England to have 6. British personnel are
                      representation in Parliament, causing violence,
its just not practical riots, and death
                                                           (Boston Massacre &
