2. NEW MEDIA New Media is all over the world. Technology is everywhere. Ipods, computers, cell phones, they’re found in almost every country, in almost every household.

They first need to become familiar with the new technology. Then they need to learn how to utilize it in a way that the company will benefit from it. A key way they are doing this is by Going Global (Joepen).

6. Media Companies Buying Out Other Companies Many advanced new media companies have been going global by buying other media companies in other countries. Turkey is one of these countries, where they are letting big companies come in and sell their products there. Turkey sees this as a way of accessing new technology, and keeping up to date (Arsen).
7. Televisia Taking Advantage of New Media 2nd largest media company in Mexico. Big following in many countries. Large variety of TV shows in a variety of languages. Partnering with BBC lets BBC expand globally, and Televisia expands to the US (Lagis).
8. Discussion What does Going Global with New Media mean to you? Is it good for companies to expand like this? Should every country have their own new media sources, or should there be common universal companies? World wide monopoly?
