Editor's Notes
Thank you for watching Matt Redmons presentation
Since the invention of the internet, people have wanted to explore the endless possibilities of a worldly connected network. And since the internet has become cheaper and more available to the masses, many more business opportunities have arisen and will continue to be more frequent.
With the massive expanses in the world wide web and social media, businesses have long been trying to efficiently tap into this diverse, enormous market.
Businesses use FaceBook and alike to advertise and raise product awareness. Some companies have made a profit from buying and selling via a website, with no physical customer interaction
Even with online auctions emerging the public has greatly increased with online shopping. Viral videos make more of the public get online and with sites like YouTube starting to run commercials, it opens the door for more product marketing and awareness.
Currently, businesses are exploding all throughout the internet. Individuals are becoming famous from one video that went viral. Companies are reaching new communities and delivering new products from their product lines.
Northwestern would be foolish not to get in on this internet pie while the slices are still relatively large.
By the end of this presentation, NWT should have seriously considered the pros of joining and emerging in the online community.
