The country that I am studying
is
• Kuwait. The capital city of Kuwait is
Kuwait city. Some of the languages in
Kuwait are Arabic, English….

Kuwait is a country in the Middle East. It’s
surrounded by Iran in the south, also in the south
there is Saudi Arabia. The Persian Gulf in the
East, the Red Sea in the South West, and Iraq in
the north West. Three of the tallest mountains are:
1.Khasham Ghudayy 2. AlAwjah 3. Jabalal Banaya.
Kuwait is located at the North end of the Persion
Gulf.
5. • Some of the traditional foods are: fish, Arab food,
Turkish food, and Indian food. They also eat rice,
bread and fruit. Breakfast is eaten very early , if
they have school or work they eat at 8:00 A.M. and
they have bread ,honey ,jam, dates, and they drink
tea and coffee. Depending on the seasons, lunch
and dinner are the most important meals of the day.
The most popular sports in Kuwait are: squash,
rugby, baseball, football, swimming, cricket fishing.
Other popular sports are: figure skating, and ice
hockey. The most common gifts in Kuwait is jewelry,
you give it out at weddings, birthdays, and a birth of
a child. Finally jewelry is designed with gold!

Summers in Kuwait are long hot and dry. The
temperature is 43 degrees C. and 110 F. Winters are short,
cool, and cold with rare summer showers and dust storms.
The temperature is 13 degrees C. and 55 degrees F. in the
winter. The rainfall ranges are 2c.m. and 35c.m. per year.
Dust storms occur along the year, it’s more common in the
Spring or the Summer. The humidity in Kuwait is usually
low except in the late summer. The highest recorded
temperature is 125 degrees F., and 52 degrees C., in July,
1978, making Kuwait the fourth hottest place in the world.

Oil is the most natural resource of Kuwait, and
• it is the best product. Also, it is important because they have
a lot of oil, so they trade for money, then they use the money
to pay the government. Kuwaiti government manages the
salary for the people of Kuwait.

In 1990 Iraq captured Kuwait. Iraq stole all
the valuables in Kuwait, with food supplies.
Many people left Kuwait. There was a war
between Iraq and Kuwait in 1991. After the
war, people of Kuwait fixed the damage. Finally
Iraq lost the war!

Kuwait is a very interesting country. I learned a lot
about the culture in Kuwait. I picked this country because
I don’t know anything about it.
