Objectives
Previously, there were only few SC program
evaluation studies in Taiwan focusing on short-
term changes of safety KAP among residents.
With more than 10 years of experience, now we
are able to see the effect of the Safe Community
program by long-term evaluation.
Using long-term change of injury mortality
rate to evaluate the effect of Safe Community
program in Taiwan.

Conclusions
The effect of safe community program on
reducing injury mortality may not be shown in
short-term period. It could be shown in the long
run as long as we keep the program sustainably.
