It is essential for a billboard to be bright and catch the attention of a
passer by as it will only tend to be seen for a matter of seconds. Both of
the posters have a lot of images on and are all colourful so that they do
catch the attention of a passer by and they can immediately connect with
t and want to watch the soap. Both layouts are simple and are not over
powering so that you can understand it in a quick amount of time.
 My poster contains less images but this was
  due to less characters in my soap.
 My poster contains text and the e4 logo for
  brand identity to the reader. The reason
  mine contains text is because my soap is not
  as well known as the real T.O.W.I.E version
  and the audience would want to know the
  soap name when they see the poster.
 This difference is more of how I challenged
  the conventions.
 The  main change that I made was adding text
  to my poster. On the slide before I have
  stated why I choose to add text to my poster.
 Another challenge I put across on my poster
  was adding in the e4 logo. This immediately
  creates brand reach and identity for the
  viewer as they can instantly relate to the
  programme from a quick view of the poster.
 Another challenge is the way that all of my
  stars are looking at one another so that the
  viewer can gather who is the main focus on
  the poster.
My poster contains text and the e4 logo so that the viewer can
quickly know how to find the programme and what it is called.
Compared to the existing version of T.O.W.I.E mine is much more
professional as the viewer can reach the brand from it and connect
with it more. Also because my soap is not as well known as a real
version, it is essential for me to promote it in detail.
All of my stars on the poster are looking into the bottom middle, at the
main star of the trailer- Tarquin Jackson. From viewing this poster they
can straight away figure out that the soap is going to revolve around him.
This not only gives he viewer more of an understanding of my soap but it
also ties my trailer, front cover and poster together as they all revolve
around one star.
