2. All the “leen teen”students” and “leen teen”
teachers have been involved in the organization
of this “fundraising” event. The target group was
made up of school students, families, teachers
and friends.
We shared the common idea that our fundraising
event should be focused in collecting money for
some of our schoolmates, special needs students
who need special school materials.
Our main goal was raising awareness about
special students and people and developing a
sense of global responsibility.
3. 1. Brainstorming
2. What we’ll do with the money raised
3. Choosing the type of event
4. Business Plan

7. The Event video
8. Swot analysis
4. 1 st Step: BRAINSTORMING
First we had a brainstorming activity and
we got a lot of ideas such as marathon,
chess match, bicycle ride and some more.
After that we agreed about a music show
because it could involve young people
better. Finally, it was nice for us to practice
teamwork as we had the opportunity to
acquire new skills.
5. 2 nd Step: WHAT WE’LL DO WITH THE MONEY
RAISED
We thought to use the
money to set up a lab for
special needs students.
We could buy materials
to stimulate their
creativity, such as painter
kits, pottery kits, a variety
of stationery. Depending
on the amount, we could
also buy a pc or special
software to support
teaching activities.
6. 3 rd Step: CHOOSING THE TYPE OF
EVENT
Among all the ideas, we finally chose the
music show. Some of us knew guys playing
in a band and four well known saxophonists
in our town. So it was easier to contact them.
We had to rush because we wanted to have
our event before Easter holidays which were
going to start in three weeks time.
7. 4 th Step: BUSINESS PLAN
Before organizing the event we asked for a
series of quotations to compare (rent of the
premises, advertising, sound engineer, filming).
After examining them properly, we selected the
best suppliers for quality and money.
Next we calculated the total costs and chose the
amount of the fee based on the number of
planned investments.
Only after having drawn up and consulted the
"business plan" we finally confirmed the most
affordable quotes and advertised the event.
8. 5 th Step: THE ORGANIZATION OF
OUR EVENT
In order to organize this event, we first thought
about the location and we finally agreed to have it
in the same auditorium where we had the charity
event last winter.
Then we asked the local band and four
saxophonists to partecipate as special guests.
At the end, we contacted two local TVs to record
the show. The musicians were very happy top lay
as they thought our goal was great and noble.
9. 6 th Step: FUNDRAISING
We charged 4 euros per ticket and, we
collected 800€. It was a quite big amount of
money. We were happy about that. It meant
that our schoolmates and friends really
understood the importance of being helpful to
people in need and wanted to improve their
way of living.
11. STRENGHTS
•Effectiveness of team work
•Involvement and
motivation of students
•Great fun
WEAKNESSES
•Lack of time to monitor each
step
•Too short time to organize
the event
OPPORTUNITIES
•Young people could show
their talents. Event was shot
by two local TVs, so they had
the opportunity to be known
•Organizers acquired skills in
analyzing , criticizing,
reacting while facing
problems.
THREATS
Not all the students took
part in the event because
the chosen day was too
close to Easter holidays,
so many commuters were
already home.
