Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian polymath, painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer who lived from April 15, 1452 until his death on May 2, 1519. Some of his most famous works include the Mona Lisa painting, studies in human anatomy, and conceptual drawings for inventions like helicopters, tanks, and concentrated solar power. He also collaborated with others on projects involving mathematics, music, and engineering.
