Emphasize that this is a comprehensive program that includes both online and in-person components. The website was designed to be a resources for faculty, including counselors, and staff to use in their work with students as well as to provide guidance to a student user to work on their own.
We use eFolio as the receptacle for students to maintain, organize, and reflect upon the activities that they do in the GPS LifePlan.
What eFolio looks like on the administrative side. The GPS LifePlan version has a built-in to-do list to guide students on the steps toward completion.
The following are all samples of student eFolios – representing each of the plan areas. Students love to personalize their sites with photos, artwork they created, quotes and more. This ownership is very motivating for them when they are tracking their goals.
This follows the career development model and each area is designed as modules for each stage of the career and life-planning process.
Note the banner changes – this represents the customization quality of this program across the system.
The military version has similar information as the post-secondary site but include a wealth of resources for veterans, military service members, and their families. It is supported by MyMilitaryEducation.org (much like a campus would provide support for the campus versions).
The PersonalPlan essentially covers every thing else in life that was not covered by the four previous plans.
