The Goal
My main goal for this internship was to gain real world
work experience in terms of recruiting, interviewing,
training, orientation, compensation, employee benefits,
performance reviews, and terminations.
Daily Tasks and
Responsibilities
 Filed timesheets, work tickets, invoices, accident
reports
 Mailed invoices
 PTO request calendar
 Phone calls with Beth on terminations and lawsuits,
recruitment process, performance plans, and sourcing
 Webinar- Unlocking the Potential to Lead
 Reposted job listings
 Entered timesheets on Aspire
Projects
 Schools and Landscaping Education
 Job Description for Irrigation Laborer
 Created files for new employees
 Created files for new clients on Aspire
 Looked up Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for products used
at JMA and LID
 Created new work ticket files for IRR and Maintenance
My Experience
Having the opportunity to work for LID this summer has
been amazing. Getting to learn how and where jobs are
posted, the application process of reviewing and hiring,
the process of performance plans and sourcing, and
attending a Webinar on Unlocking the Potential to Lead &
Influence has truly taught me so much. I was able to apply
the information I am learning in the classroom to my
internship. My internship experience was extremely
beneficial because I attained skills that will benefit me in
my future career and that will be something I will keep
with me for the rest of my life.
