Sam Duxbury documented importing sounds into Game Maker and programming them into objects. He found importing the sounds straightforward but programming them to the correct objects required a tutorial. He also placed background music in the scene by setting it to loop continuously.

On this image it shows me importing
the sounds I chose into game maker
ready to use on my game. To do this
I had to go into the sound folder and
then create a new sound,
completing this process was quite
straight forward and can easily be
done.
On this image it is me programming
my sounds into the appropriate
objects. This was the second stage
of placing my tracks to the correct
object, this was a little bit more
difficult to get the hand of and a
tutorial was needed to complete
this task properly.
This is me placing my background
music object into the scene. Adding
this into my game was another
straight forward task and was quite
easily done. I changed the settings
from loop to true so that the song
just kept repeating naturally when it
ended.
