kindles in me a nostalgic moment. I will be an Extinguished Toastmaster (ETM) and not a Distinguished Toastmaster
(DTM) if I do not keep on contributing toward the betterment of my fellow Toastmasters"

11. “Abu Dhabi Chapter 1950 is one Club where pedigree means what it stands for. This was the Club where I was
nurtured to become the DTAC Champion in Table Topics.

12. The handsome, smiling and charismatic TM Loyola Pinto receiving the TOASTMASTER OF THE YEAR AWARD of Abu
Dhabi Chapter 1950 from the tall and equally handsome TM Sudhir Menon. Incidentally, both these brilliant
Toastmasters have been Past Presidents of Abu Dhabi Chapter 1950 and along with TM Abraham Thomas have
brought many laurels and awards to our illustrious Chapter- 450th Milestone Meeting of Abu Dhabi Chapter 1950 held
in Hilton Hotel Abu Dhabi on 23rd October 2012.

13. “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. – Benjamin Franklin. Pleading, cajoling and
coaxing the Toastmaster for articles and guidance from TM Krishnan Subramanian enabled me to produce the first
Newsletter for 2012 – 2013 for our Chapter. It was a great learning experience. I grateful to all the Toastmasters who
contributed to the Newsletter.”

14. TM Ravi Rai has become a DTM. His achievement is remarkable. He has been one of the pillars of Abu Dhabi Chapter 1950
and has taken up many leadership roles like President, Area Governor, Division Governor etc. He remains a very
committed and down to earth Toastmaster who has endeared all of us with his grace, charm and ready wit. HEARTY

Devkusum Datta, TM Sanjay Vissa, TM Loyola Pinto, TM Abraham Thomas, DTM Sujith Sukumaran, DTM Marwan, TM

17. The happiest moments of Abu Dhabi Chapter 1950 milstone meeting was the presence of the little angel Hamdan – Jr.
Marwan. The proud father Division Governor Marwan Al Shayea with his loving son Hamdan. May the blessings and mercy
of the Almighty always be on Hamdan and family.
