  4. 4. Did Marina bay always looked like this? No. It didn’t. Marina Bay Prior to independence did not exist. Then, when you looked out of the window of the Fullerton hotel building, It is already the open sea instead of the familiar Marina Bay Sands! This shows that the Singapore Government is capable of making major changes to keep up with the fast –paced, competitive world!
  5. 5. The Marina Bay Promenade
  6. 6. Stop 2 – Environmentally friendlyinstallations!
  7. 7. Ever seen these weird lookinginstallations along Marina Baypromenade walk? These ‘Breeze Shelters’ are eco-Friendly Installations that let hot and tired pedestrians have a little Shade and some breeze under it. These shelters store energy from the solar cells on the top when no one is underneath. When motion sensors are activated as someone walks below these shelters, the fans kick into action, using the energy that is stored from absorbed the sunlight.
  8. 8. These Breeze shelters are not only energy saving, theseShelters are also a sign that the Government is striving towards an eco-friendly society. Showing the principle of ‘ Leadership is key’ . Although integrating into an eco- friendly environment is costly and frequently negatively spoken against. The government still, did what is right- by saving the country’s precious natural resources.
  9. 9. Question to Ponder…What is that empty field doing there? This field is intended to be left empty by the URA.In a recent opening ceremony of a marina bay facility,Prime minister Lee Hsien Loong said that he wanted a city area not just a business hub, he wants a city that also ‘alive’ after working hours! Therefore, this field is intended to be used as a recreational activity area.
  10. 10. Stop 3 – Marina Bay City GalleryThe Marina Bay City Gallery is the only gallery in Singapore that tells the story of Singapores planning efforts showingits remarkable physicalTransformation ! This again, lets everyone in Singapore to know that the Government is striving to make Singapore to remain as a high potential investment country. ‘Anticipating change and staying relevant’.
