This role is for a Principal Analyst at a globally recognized broadcaster to oversee the analytics team and ensure delivery of insights on all client accounts. Key responsibilities include managing other analysts, determining analysis priorities with the Head of Analysis, delivering best-in-class analysis to clients, and challenging stakeholders on how analysis will create change. The ideal candidate has a degree in statistics/mathematics/computing, excellent client and team management skills, experience managing analytics projects, and the drive to succeed in a client-facing environment. This is a contract position requiring eligibility to work in the UK.
1. Principal Analyst
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Analyst to join a globally recognised broadcaster. The
main purpose of this role is to oversee the delivery of insights and intelligence by the analytics team on all
clients’ accounts. This will also include performance management and financial management.
Key tasks:
Directly line manage Lead Analysts and Service Experts and indirectly manage Analysts, Graduates and
Contractors
Work with Head of Analysis to determine analysis priorities and move away from pure factory /
tactical analytics to a mixed model that allows for strategic support for clients
Deliver best in class analysis to clients, delivering to agreed objectives and timescales
To ensure internal clients’ requirements are met and expectations exceeded
Continuous communication to clients and managing analysts regarding the progress of projects
To understand the bigger business requirement rather than delivering to request
To challenge all stakeholders - ‘What will change as a result of providing you with this analysis?’
Create clear briefs to ensure both analyst and stakeholder understand what will be delivered and how
this will occur
Create analytical schedules for each project in order to allocate appropriate resources and ensure the
project is on schedule
Ensure all analysis is accurately delivered within timescales required
Experience:
Qualified to degree level in disciplines containing a high content of statistics/mathematics/computing.
Excellent client liaison and management skills
Experience of project managing medium-large marketing/analytics projects or change programmes
with strong business outcomes
Experience of small-medium size team management with excellent team leadership skills
High degree of drive, energy, self-confidence, commitment and flexibility appropriate to a merit-
based, client-facing environment
