I showed it to Lucy, Philippa and Chloe who were actresses in it and
they have agreed that it was very jovial and laughed a lot during it
which was the intended effect of the video and means that the
atmosphere is how I wanted it and I'm getting the right reactions in
the right places. I also showed it to JessicaYang, a fellow
classmate, and she said it had a good range of shot types, lip synching
was good but one clip where Chloe first appears goes on too long
compared to the rest of the shots so I'm planning to put a clip in the
middle to break it up a bit and vary the shot lengths. Getting this kind
of feedback from a student that understands how the video works
technically means that I have a lot more critical feedback and a bit of a
clearer idea of how to remedy my errors.
At this point I think it is progressing how I wanted it to
and in comparison to the as course I think I have a much
clearer idea of how i want the audience to respond and
how I should review the video at the end of every editing
session to ensure it is progressing as intended and there
aren't any confusing clips for the audience that affects
their enjoyment or receiving of the music video. I believe
that after I finish filming my parents and top up the
dancing of my grandparents I will find it easier to edit as I
will have all of the material and won't have to keep on
leaving room to balance out the appearances of the
different locations or scenes.
